Jenny’s Deadly Decision

She had to rid him from her life, once and for all!

Jenny had never been so conflicted in her life. She just knew in her heart of hearts that Ronald Gibson was worth more than that, didn’t she? But she couldn’t find anyone else who thought so. Her friends told her to just cut it off with him and move on. Just drop it all and walk away. But she couldn’t bear to let it go so quickly and thoroughly. Not just like that. He wasn’t much of a thriller, they said. True. He was not so eloquent with words but he had a way with art, something about him that just made the choice so very difficult.

She would have to ponder deeply what she was going to do about him. This was so nerve racking! Her final moment of decision! There would be no going back!! But she knew she had to. She couldn’t keep living like this. She had to rid him from her life, once and for all!

The scissors wiggled as she held up her trembling hand. She put as much force as she could muster behind the blow and in a single savage stroke–cut the novel’s beautifully illustrated cover off, all but the author’s name, and deftly dropped the rest of the book in the trash.
